MAS 90/200 TOOL TIP:
Selecting two or more values in selection screens.
Version 4.30 continues to surprise me with nifty new features. I have come across a special one that you may have missed.
First, a little background… Before version 4.30, when making your print selections, you would click on the Operand field to change the selection from ALL to EQUAL TO or RANGE. Then you would make your selections. In version 4.30 you can skip the Operand field and just click on the Value field and enter your selection. The Operand field will automatically change to EQUAL TO. If you enter an ending value the Operand field will automatically change to RANGE. While this is all pretty cool there is something else I wanted to share with you.
In the Value field you can enter two or more values separated by a comma and your report will be just for those values…not a range or a single value. Here is how you do it….
First select a report to print. I have chosen the Customer Sales Analysis in AR. Next, in the Value field enter two customer numbers. In my example I have 01RSSUPPL and 01ABF. (If you are using divisions do not include the dash). After selecting the first value (01RSSUPPL) hit the insert key. You will now be allowed to type in a second value. In my example it was 01ABF. Don’t forget to separate the two values by a comma and no spaces. Now print your report. It will only include these two values that are not part of a range.

Review your report. You will see that only the two customers listed in the Value section above will be included in the report. Download a PDF of this tip to see a sample report. Then, try it on your own!.
