New 1099 Rules for 2012 MAS90 can help

Under the tax code as part of Health Care Reform, beginning on 1/1/2012 virtually all payments by businesses aggregating $600 or more to any single vendor during a calendar year will have to be reported at the end of the year to the vendor and to the IRS on Form 1099. The current rules exclude most transactions involving payments to corporations, governments and purchases of goods.

Purchase MAS90 before 12/31/09 and Expense Your Purchase Under Section 179

The tax stimulus plans gave extra boosts to section 179. You may write off $250,000 of asset purchases made in 2009. There are some limitations so check with your tax professional as you make your year end asset purchases.
