Reason # 9: It integrates with Outlook
Like many people, I use Outlook for email, tasks, and appointments. With Sage CRM, you don't have to change the way you work. Everything you do in Outlook shows up in CRM. Alternatively, some people might want to work in CRM all day. In that case, you can send email, set up tasks and appointments from within CRM and they appear in Outlook.
This integration is seamless. The CRM administrator sets up basic rules within SageCRM and your users download the Outlook Plug-in to their desktop. (If you use terminal server, you download the plug-in at the terminal server). You don't have to think about it again. When I log into CRM every morning and bring up my calendar, all my appointments and tasks for the day are listed. I can dismiss them or open them for more information. I also have the option to see the appointments and tasks for everyone on my CRM team.
What about contacts? It's easy to swap contacts between CRM and Outlook. Just add CRM contacts to a list in CRM. Select the contacts you want to add to Outlook. The next time the systems synchronize, the contacts on the list are updated to Outlook.

In Outlook, you select the contact you want to add to CRM and click on a single button. After all, I don't want my grandma, my children, aunts, uncles, and other personal contacts in Outlook to be added to CRM, so I want to be selective!
That's reason 9. Watch this space next week for reason #8.
