What happened to the ATL key commands in Excel?

What happened to the ATL key commands in Excel?

Before Excel 2007 the top screen menus had an underline to indicate that a combination of the ALT key and the underlined character would launch the command. In Excel 2007 those underlined characters are no longer there. So, what do you do to use keyboard commands instead of using the mouse? If you press the ALT key a series of letters and numbers appear by each menu item on the ribbon. These indicate the keyboard command to launch the task. You do not need to hold down the ALT key when selecting the key board command. To remove the ALT commands from the ribbon, simply press the ALT key again.
